Alexander Jascemskas 94, passed away Monday April 30, 2018 at 11p.m. Born February 27, 1924 in Radviliskis, Lithuania, son of Bronius and Vilhelmina (Unterkirchen) Jascemskas. Left his beloved family and country in 1944. Came to Rockford in 1951 from Kaiserslautern, Germany. Member of U.S. Army established Baltic Corps in Germany 1947-1951. Married Antoinette Skema January 2, 1954 in St. Peter and Paul Church Rockford. Employed by Barnes Drill Co. for 36 years. Former member Lithuanian Club and Choir. Member St. James Church.
Survivors include son Edward (Sheila), daughter Donna (Robert) Street. Grandchildren Jason (Megan), Jaime, Anthony, Lindsey (Cody), Clifford (Estelle), great-grandchildren Lily, Ethan, James. Nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, wife Antoinette in 1998, four brothers and one sister. Our gratitude to Cor Mariae Center for their concern and care for our father.
Visitation from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. Thursday May 3, 2018, with Funeral Mass at 12:30 at Cor Mariae Center Chapel, 3330 Maria Linden Dr. Rockford, IL 61114. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
