Henry Gotthalf, 95, died 10:35 p.m., Monday, May 14, 2007 in his home. Born May 23, 1911 in Cleveland, OH.Son of Ezeal & Anna (Greenberg) Gotthalf. Married to the former Dorothy Bohn in Ashtabula, OH on March 25, 1934. Henry & Dorothy were active in dance clubs into their 90's, among them, USABDA, Ostende, Top of the Town, & Cotillion. Henry also enjoyed horticulture and fine woodworking.Survived by his wife Dorothy.His daughter, Katherine (Meyer) Abarbanel, Belvidere, and son Donald (Judith) Gotthalf, Rockford.Ten grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. His sister Gertrude Nerad.Predeceased by his daughter Jane Ohman and his brother Eugene.Graveside service 10:00 a.m., Thursday, May 17, 2007 in Rockford Hebrew Cemetery, with Rabbi Binah Wing officiating.
