Louise Burstein, 92, died at 8:50 p.m., Sat., June 12, 2010 in Alpine Fireside Health Center. Born Sept. 10, 1917 in TehBoer, Holland, and was a Holocaust survivor. Louise and her sister, Martha, came to the U. S. for a better life. She learned English and became an accomplished seamstress, formerly working at Sturtevants. She was a longtime member of Temple Beth El and Ohave Shalom. Survivors include her daughter, Rachel (Roger) McFadden, her adored grandchildren, Jackie (Robert) Ewald, Adam McFadden, and Zach McFadden, her sister, Martha Gudema, nieces and nephews, and her cat, Tess. Predeceased by her parents, sisters, Sophia and Sandra, and Isidore Burstein. The family would like to thank Bobby, Julie, and Nate from Transitions Hospice, and special friends, Jeanne Schaefer and Millie Kaplan. The family would like to thank the staff at Alpine Fireside for their care.
