Nikolaj Kuzmicki Obituary

Nikolaj Kuzmicki, 88, passed away at 7:35 p.m., Monday, June 23, 2014 in River Bluff Nursing Home. He was born in Belarus on June 25, 1925, the son of Nikafor and Daria Kuzmicki. He married Hildegard Kumfert in Chicago on May 24, 1958. She predeceased him Oct. 23, 1984. He married Janina Bielesza on Oct. 27, 1991. Nikolaj enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife, Janina Kuzmicki of Rockford; step-children, Jolanta (Marek) Kowaski of Poland and Marek Mogielinski of Germany; and 4 step-grandchildren. Visitation from 11:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 27, 2014 in Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd., 215 N. Sixth St., Rockford, IL. Graveside service will follow at 1:00 p.m., Friday in Greenwood Cemetery, Rockford.
