Nina Lomas

Nina R. Lomas, 80, was born into eternity on Thursday, April 2, 2015 in Amberwood Care Centre, joining her husband, Phil. Nina was born December 7, 1934 in Rockford, the daughter of Nick and Josephine (Loreno) Nardiello. She graduated from West High School and St. Anthony School of Nursing. She was employed as a nurse at Rockford Clinic for many years. Survivors: daughter, Andrea of Rockford; son, Danny (Lindsey) Lomas of Reno, NV; grandchildren, Brittany, Alyssa, Elizabeth, Ethan, Nicolas, and Emma; sisters, Nicki (Bob) Jones, Jackie (Elliot) Bartlett, and Marion (Frank) Licari; sister-in-law, Vivian (Ken) Pearse and Mary Nardiello; and brother-in-law, Anthony Capriola. Predeceased by her husband, Phil Lomas; her parents; her brothers, Louie and Frank; a sister, Joanne; and nephews, Jim and Nicholas. Nina was a loving devoted mom and grandmother who will be missed every day.
Memorial Mass 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 704 Clifford Ave., Loves Park with Fr. Christopher DiTomo as celebrant. A visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until Mass time on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family.
