Richard ‘Rich' A. Anderson, 65, passed away at 6:05 am, Mon., July 8, 2013 in Amberwood Care Center after a lengthy illness. Born Oct. 23, 1947 in Rockford. Son of Douglas R. and Louise (Baumgardner) Anderson. Formerly employed by Napa Auto Parts for many years. Confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. Graduated from Guilford High School in 1965 where he was a member of the football team and chess club. Survivors include daughter, Melissa (Mark) Kunze; son, Matthew (Megan) Anderson; mother, Louise L. Hurlbutt; brother, Doug (Jane) Anderson; 11 grandchildren; niece, Alison (Brandon) Belfiore; and special friend, Caroline Tilson. Predeceased by his father.
Graveside memorial service at 11:00 am, Sat., July 13, 2013 in Scandinavian Cemetery. Arrangements by Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd., 215 N. Sixth St., Rockford, IL 61107.
