Soija Ageev, 97, died on Sunday, September 30, 2018 in her home. Born Dec. 1, 1920 in Stavropol, Russia, the daughter of Andrei and Anastasia Kipa. Married to Nicolai Ageev in Russia. He predeceased her. Formerly worked in Cleveland, Ohio. Member of St. Vladimir Vladimirovo Orthodox Church, Lost Lake, IL. She enjoyed gardening and being a homemaker. She truly cherished her family and especially her grandchildren. They brightened her day no matter how ill she was that day. Now our hearts are broken without her. We will miss her very much. Survivors include: daughter, Ljuba (Wulf) Ohrnberger of Popular Grove, IL; son, Valentin (Yelena) Ageev of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Natasha (Steven) Wagner of Poplar Grove, IL, Andrei (Maria) Ohrnberger of Barrington, IL; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Arianna, Demitri, Annika, and Alexander. Predeceased by son, Nicolas Ageev. The family would like to thank her family doctor, Dr. Irene Boswell and the caring and compassionate staff of OSF Hospice in Rockford, with their angels, Dr. Barnhart, Cindy, Gina, Julie, Amy, Michelle, Marquelle, Lory, and Marilyn. My Mama’s spirit is looking down on you in gratitude for all you did in her time of need. Because of your love and care, her life was extended from a couple of days to a couple of years. Thank you, thank you, very much.
Visitation 6-7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, 2018 in Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd., 215 N. Sixth St., Rockford, IL 61107 with Panahida Service immediately following. Service 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, 2018 in St. Vladimir Vladimirovo Orthodox Church, Lost Lake, IL with Fr. Luke Nelson officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery.
