Valerie Foster Obituary

Former Rockford resident, Valerie Foster, 67, of Bowie, MD, passed away at noon on Saturday, March 10, 2018. She was born December 23, 1950 in Rockford, the daughter of Wasil and Anna (Rodak) Morgol. She received a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of Maryland. She met Jimmy Foster working in Virginia in 1968. They married in Rockford on June 7, 1969 and have resided in Bowie, MD area since 1970. Her survivors include her husband, Jimmy Foster of Bowie, MD; daughter, Michelle McDonald of Florence, SC; son, James Foster and his wife, Seema Gangatirkar of Houston, TX; granddaughters, Aanya and Mira Foster; a sister, Anna (David) Burkhart of Rockford, IL; niece, Kristin Stephenson; and nephew, Josh Burkhart. She is predeceased by her parents and son-in-law, Wayne McDonald.

Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2018 in Christ the Savior Orthodox Church, 1802 Pershing Ave., Rockford with the funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Jonathan Bannon will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
