Zoe Peplos, 82, passed away in her sleep at her home on Wed., June 1, 2011. Born in Greece on Mar. 15, 1929 and later married James Peplos in Athens. She was a devoted member of Sts. Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church and a member of the Philoptochos Society. Zoe was a homemaker and real estate broker who along with her husband, owned and operated James Peplos Realty for many years. He predeceased her on Oct. 10, 2003. Survivors include her children, Olga (Dino) Peplos Analitis, M.D., Peter (Fran) Peplos, Marika (Robert) Panton, and Dino (Helen) Peplos, grandchildren: Alexander and Eva Analitis, Jimmy and Georgiann Peplos, Jonathan, James, and Zoe Panton, and Jimmy and Billy Peplos, her sisters: Pope Kouropoulou and Hariklia Samartzis.
Visitation from 5 - 7 pm on Fri., June 3, 2011 in Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd. with Trisagion Service to follow. Service 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4, 2011 in Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 108 N. Fifth St., Rockford, IL, with Fr. Demetrios Kounavis and Fr. John Artemes officiating.
