We were so sorry to hear of Joan's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you! Liz and Sam Cory
I am so very sorry to hear of Joan’s passing. I have found memories of her sharing her hotel room with me at Mike and Antina’s wedding, and meals at Cracker Barrel. You’re all in my thoughts.
Mike, I am so sorry to hear about you losing your mother. My thoughts are with you.
So sorry to hear of your loss. The Browell family prayers are with you all at this time.
Mrs. Pennock was my PE teacher at Roosevelt Jr. High School in the late 1950's. She was a wonderful, kind lady. She touched the lives of many young girls who were on the brink of becoming women. We shall all miss her.
My sincerest condolences to all family members.

Pennock Family....Our condolences across the miles! So many fond remembrances of your Mom over the years. Lynne, Rich and family
Dear Mike and Jan,
I have known Mike for a number of years. You have been a great friend to me I did not have the privilege of meeting your mom. Most of what you say at a moment like this rings hollow for the people who have lost one so beloved But, based on my experiences of you, Mike; your mom must have been an incredibly special person to raise you to be the man you are. I hope the pain you feel now begins to ebb so you can focus on your memories of the joy you shared with your mom.

Jan and Mike,
Condolences on the passing of your Mom. Your sweet Mom was my Mom's (Mary Larsen Herman) cousin and even though they lived far apart, your Mom stayed in touch with mine, to my mother's delight. Every Christmas, your Mother remembered my Mom and my brother and sister and I with Christmas greetings. Her work on a family tree, she shared with us, as well as pictures of the good old days with all the cousins, and the homestead in Norway.
We will always be grateful for her generous sharing of her love and knowledge of family and of Norway, a sharing that strengthened our own ties to the homeland ;). We will miss her.
Mike, I am so sorry to hear about you losing your Mom. I understand how it can be a blow to have someone that has been there all your life suddenly leave it. A huge hole is left behind. I hope that all the joyful times and fond memories are what you will keep with you and share with your family. My sincere condolences , Candace

So very sad to hear the passing of Joan Pennock. She was the teacher at Roosevelt Jr. High who made the biggest impression on me during my school years. I'm so thankful we were able to stay in touch through the years. I'll never forget seeing her in Rockford and our talks. She will be missed by all of us.
My sincere condolences to her family.

I wish we were there to give personal support and condolences. But both Pam and I are praying for you Mike...
